Privacy Policy

HelloPrescott is published from Prescott, Arizona and operated by a small team. The site is a visitor guide and local-business directory. There is no user account system. You do not need to log in to read anything. Reach us any time at [email protected].

• Page-view analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-7LLE7WMJN2). It records the page you visited, your approximate location from your IP address, your device and browser, the referring link, and how long you stayed. Google sets cookies named _ga and _ga_* for this.
• Web fonts. Our display, serif, and mono fonts (Bebas Neue, Lora, IBM Plex Mono) are loaded from Google Fonts. That means Google receives your IP address as part of the font request.
• Server logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare automatically keeps short-lived request logs (IP, user-agent, request path, response status) for abuse prevention and performance monitoring. We do not pull or store these logs ourselves.

• Restaurant giveaway form. We collect the email address you enter and pass it to Brevo (our email tool) so we can email you if you win and so we can include you in the giveaway list. We do not collect your name, phone, or address for the giveaway. We store a flag in your browser’s localStorage (key hp_giveaway_submitted_v1) so the form remembers you entered.
• Apply-to-be-featured form. If your business applies to be featured via /apply, we collect business name, contact name, email, phone, website, category, and whatever you write in the description field. The form is processed by Web3Forms, which emails the application to [email protected] for us to review.
• Direct email. When you email us, we keep your message in our inbox. Standard email rules apply.

• Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics 4 (see section 02).
• Affiliate cookies set by Stay22, Booking.com, Viator, and similar partners after you click an outbound link (see section 05).
• localStorage keys we set ourselves: hp_giveaway_submitted_v1 (remembers your giveaway entry) and hp_giveaway_banner_dismissed_v1 (remembers you closed the top banner). You can clear both at any time from your browser settings.

HelloPrescott earns commissions from some lodging and tour bookings. Affiliate links are routed through /go/[slug] on our domain, then redirect to the partner. The partner (and its ad networks) can see that you arrived from helloprescott.com and may set its own cookies once you land there. We do not control those cookies. See our affiliate disclosure for the partners we currently work with.

The Stay22 lodging widget (the one that shows hotel options near an attraction) loads a script from scripts.stay22.com and, when it renders, exchanges your approximate location with Stay22 so it can show nearby options. Stay22’s privacy policy at stay22.com/privacy governs that data.

The third parties listed above, and only for the purposes listed:

• Google (Analytics + Fonts) - page metrics, IP for font delivery.
• Cloudflare - hosts the site and serves request logs for abuse prevention.
• Brevo - stores the email you submit on the giveaway form and sends confirmation email on our behalf.
• Web3Forms - receives the application submitted via /apply and forwards it to us by email. They hold the submission only long enough to deliver it.
• Stay22, Booking.com, Viator, and similar affiliate partners - receive you as referred traffic when you click an outbound lodging or tour link.

We do not sell your data. We do not run remarketing ad pixels (Meta Pixel, TikTok pixel, etc.). We do not share email lists with anyone.

• Google Analytics retains user-level event data for 14 months by default. Aggregate reports persist longer.
• Giveaway emails stay in Brevo until you ask us to remove them. Applications submitted via /apply land in our inbox and stay there until we archive or delete them.
• Email correspondence stays in our inbox until we archive or you ask us to delete it.

You can ask us to delete your email from our lists, correct your information, or send you what we have on file. Email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy request” and we’ll handle it within seven business days. If you are in the EU, UK, or California, this applies to you the same way - we treat everyone’s requests the same.

You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site, including this one, by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

HelloPrescott is a general-audience travel and directory site. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child submitted a form, email us and we will delete it.

If we add a new analytics tool, a new affiliate network, or change what the forms collect, we update this page and bump the “last updated” date at the top. Substantial changes also get a note in our next giveaway email.
